Sep 30, 2018 · I thought this was a problem with Netflix but then realized maybe it was my Xbox 360 settings and it was! Of course, I could force it into some of the Dobly ProLogic II modes but that's not really true 5.1 dolby digital. For reference, I'm using a Pioneer VSX-1020 and the Xbox 360 is connected to it via an HDMI cable.
Well, I actually just tried one more weird thing that seems to have worked. I had to sign out of Netflix on my 360 for some reason. The two have never even been powered on at the same time, ever. That is very strange. On a side note you can sign out of all devices through your netflix account too. Just an FYI. You can't. To run any of the apps you need to sign into a xbox live account. You could try setting up a guest account, however i'm 99% sure that once you sign out of
